I usually set the twist in my yarn by hanging the skeins with a little wait attached after a nice gentle bath. Since this method can sometimes lead to uneven tension some people invest in expensive yarn blockers like the one from Halcyon Yarns.
I began to think,”how hard could that be to make anyways?” So after a few Tuesdays worth of work, here is my DIY yarn blocker.
Now mind you, this was all made from scrap wood. Most of the wood is from odds and ends of other projects. It didn’t have to look good, just be functional. It was really only a few hours of construction time. What took the most time was finding scraps that would fit, (or be made to fit,) and applying the finishing. If anyone is interested I could go into it’s construction at length.
